You may know Andrew, since he was the teacher on our very first Spring School 2013 in Voronezh. We are very glad that Andrew agreed to come to our school again. He is one of the most talented young teachers and RSCDS musicians (he is playing keyboards). He has full RSCDS teaching certificate, he is secretary of RSCDS Edinburgh branch. Jan-Louise Doherty

Jan started dancing in Lawrence Dance Academy in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire when she was two. Her mom, the director of Lawrence Dance Academy and UKA vice president Miss Rhona Lawrence was her coach and tutor.
Rhona and her sister Gillian trained Jan during her whole dancing career from Primary (younger than 7) to Premier (the highest) categories, helping her achieving one goal after another: Jan won in Pre-Championship when she was 9, and she won her first championship at the age of 12.
As the professional Jan qualified in UKA in different dance styles, and recently she have passed Highland Judge exam.
Jan is very glad to be a part of the Spring School, sends her best regards to all the participants and hopes that they spend great time in Yaroslavl!

She will be teaching Highland Dancing.

Sergey Alferov

Sergey is very interested in all styles of Scottish dance. He has been studying with the best teachers in Scotland, Canada and Russia. Helen Russell, UKA vice president Rhona Lawrence, the sevenfold Highland champion David Wilton were among his teachers.
Sergey is fully certified UKA teacher in two styles – fellow Scottish Step and fellow SCD. He developed teaching program on Scottish (Ladies') Step in 2011, which was accepted by UKA after Sergey had conducted workshops in Aberdeen (Scotland) and Blackpool (England).
He currently lives in Moscow (Russia). He teaches Ladies' Step Dance in Shady Glen School and Ceilidh and SCD in International Women’s Club of Moscow Ceilidh Dance Group.
