Newcastle festival live broadcast

Every year Newcastle Upon Tyne and District RSCDS branch organizes SCD Festival. Display teams from different UK towns and from whole world come to Newcastle to show their skills, learn from each other and communicate with other dancers.
There are six classes:
1. Ladies’ Open 
2. Men’s Open 
3. Ladies’ or Mixed under 12 years
4. Ladies’ or Mixed under 16 years
5. Open Mixed 
6. Display
The adjudicators are Janet Johnston and Ann Taylor.

Russian team success in Newcastle!

Every year a big festival of demonstration teams is held in Newcastle. Many teams from Europe participate in this festival. This year the team from Russia participated for the first team. The results were outsanding: second place in Mixed Open class and first place in Display class! We congratulate all members of the team, which consisted of dancers from different cities in Russia.

Dear friends, Happy New Year! We wish you health and happiness. Let the beaury and charm, joy and magic of Scottish dancing be with you! See you on the dance floor!

Our classes will begin on Thursday, 11 January. On Saturday, January 20th, we invite everybody to our Robert Burns' party.

We remind you that there is registration is now available for Spring School 2018, which will be held in Anapa from 9 till 15 May. Join us!

Celebrating Samhain

We are going to celebrate Samhain on Thursday class on 26th October. Come deadly pretty looking, bring deadly tasty goodies! We will be dancing deadly interesting dances. We will skip classical warm-up, so our social dancing will start at 19:30. 

We expect everybody! Remember: Thursday, October 26th at 19:30. Filippovskaya school (13 building 1 Malaya Pirogovskaya str).

And don't forget that we have Ceilidh dancing on Saturday, October 28th, in Vermel!
